MycoAkademie

MycoAkademie is a unique online educational system that we launched in the spring of 2024 in response to our customers' growing interest in deeper education in the field of mycotherapy.

Until now, our customers have used online consultations where experienced therapists recommended suitable combinations of vital mushroom products. Over time, however, we noticed that many customers would like to learn how to create these combinations themselves and expressed an interest in better understanding the world of vital mushrooms.

The idea to create the first comprehensive educational programme came from Milan Schirlo, founder of MycoMedica, which is a leader in the field of vital mushrooms. MycoAkademie is designed to incorporate the insights of traditional Chinese medicine, the knowledge of modern science, and 20 years of experience working with mushrooms.

The first year of the course exceeded all expectations – almost 1,400 students enrolled! Thanks to this success, we have decided to expand our offer for the 2025/2026 academic year and open two separate fields of study: MycoTerapeut and YaoTerapeut, thereby giving interested parties the opportunity to choose the specialisation that appeals to them the most.

Within 2 or 3 semesters, Milan will pass on to you the information he has gained over 20 years of practice. You will gain an overview of the terminology and principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, mycotherapy, and phytotherapy.

MycoAkademie offers not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical skills that you can use immediately. You will learn how Western science evaluates the effects of vital mushrooms and Chinese herbs. You will understand how vital mushrooms and herbs work from the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine. You will learn what health benefits individual vital mushrooms and herbs have and how to use them correctly in everyday life.

A great advantage of MycoAkademie is the active community – through a Facebook group, you can discuss, ask questions, seek advice, and share experiences with other students. As graduates, you will be able to correctly use and recommend vital mushrooms and herbal tinctures. You will become a certified MycoTerapeut or YaoTerapeut and join a prestigious group of experts trained by MycoMedica.

You can watch online lessons live or from recordings at any time according to your own schedule. Lesson recordings will be accessible throughout the entire duration of your studies. During your studies, you have the opportunity to purchase MycoMedica and YaoMedica products at wholesale prices.

Hang the MycoTerapeut and YaoTerapeut certificate on the wall in your surgery or office, signed by Milan Schirlo, a leading expert on medicinal mushrooms who introduced them to the Czech Republic 14 years ago. Because he found a lack of strong and effective mushroom extracts on the market, he and his team in Police nad Metují began producing them themselves. Now, they produce and ship them to nearly a million customers annually.

Milan knows everything about medicinal mushrooms. Gain his unique know-how, which combines extensive knowledge with practical experience from twenty years of practice as a traditional Chinese medicine therapist. Even when Milan started with medicinal mushrooms in 2010, he knew that their big boom would come one day. And now it is here.

Mycotherapy is very popular today. Even modern science is now discovering what traditional Chinese medicine has known about mushrooms for hundreds of years, and interest in mushrooms is growing as a result. They contain unique combinations of active substances that are capable of harmonising various areas in our body and benefiting the body both mentally and physically.

The 2nd year of the MycoAkademie has been expanded to include the field of YaoTerapeut – the study of Chinese herbs. The lecturer will also be Milan Schirlo, who is also involved in the production of herbal tinctures under the YaoMedica brand, which are based on traditional Chinese medicine formulas.
