Effects:

• cools the blood

• stops bleeding in the lower burner (best for the large intestine)

Dosage:

• 3 – 10 g, standardly 5 g

Contraindications:

• caution is required in cases of diarrhoea due to empty cold and bleeding from the same cause; do not apply externally to extensive burns as it may cause hepatitis
