Nature:

  • balanced (slightly cool, non-toxic)

Taste:

  • bitter (pungent, sweet)

Tropism:

  • liver (lungs, kidneys, spleen)

Direction of action:

  • inwards

Effects:

  • expels wind

  • unblocks the collaterals
  • tropism to the upper limbs

Dosage:

  • 3 – 30 g, standardly 6 g

Contraindications:

  • do not use in cases of lung obstruction by cold phlegm
