Mori cortex - fruit

Nature:

  • cool (balanced, warm, non-toxic, ascending and descending, yin within yang)

Taste:

  • sweet (sour, bitter, pungent)

Tropism:

  • lungs (spleen, large intestine)

Direction of action:

  • descending

Effects:

  • calms shortness of breath

  • removes oedema (especially) of the upper part of the body

Dosage:

  • 10 – 15 g, standardly 10 g

Contraindications:

  • do not use for coughs caused by cold or coughs caused by deficiency without signs of fire
