The fruit of the avocado tree, which originates from the tropics of South America, from where it spread to Australia and India and in the 17th century to Europe.

Avocado is a source of potassium, copper, magnesium, phosphorus and contains vitamins C, E, K, H, B2 and B3, and also contains a large amount of fat, which is similar to olive oil. It is therefore suitable for diets as a substitute for butter or mayonnaise.

Women can prepare a face mask from avocado; thanks to its high fat and vitamin E content, it nourishes dry and flaky skin and softens the complexion.

It has a sweet taste and a cooling nature. It moistens the intestines, nourishes the blood and fluids, treats stomach ulcers and constipation, lowers blood pressure and cholesterol, and is excellent prevention for gallstones. It supports the muscles and nerves.
