It has a distinct aroma and is used in cold cuisine without heating. This is because it has a very low smoke point of around 100°C.

It lowers cholesterol levels, contains high amounts of fibre and magnesium, and lignans, which protect against breast cancer. It is excellent for constipation problems, supports the vascular system, and strengthens the liver and kidneys. It moisturises mucous membranes and has a cooling effect.

Topically, flaxseed oil is used for fungal infections, spots, and vaginal warts. They have a sweet taste and a cooling nature.
