The raspberry is the oldest fruit plant. They are widespread in the temperate and subarctic zones of the Northern Hemisphere in Europe, Western Asia, and Western and Northern America. In our country, they grow wild on the edges of paths and on forest slopes.

They are of great importance in our traditional diet. They were a very significant source of sustenance for the inhabitants of mountain regions. They were used to make jam, marmalade, and juice.

They are rich in vitamins C and A, potassium, and calcium. They are alkaline. They were also eaten raw in large quantities, much like blackberries. They help with eye fatigue, add shine to hair, improve skin softness, and are suitable for nosebleeds and bleeding gums. They alleviate heavy menstrual bleeding.

These forest fruits have a sour and sweet taste, are warm in nature, and enter the liver and kidney meridians.
