It originates from Central America. It arrived here from Turkey and then from America via Spain. Today, it is grown almost all over the world.

It has a high content of vitamins C and E, zinc, as well as vitamin B6 and vitamin A. Green peppers contain twice as much vitamin C as citrus fruits, and red peppers even three times as much. They help with circulatory disorders, strengthen the heart and blood circulation, and activate metabolism and protein metabolism.

They have a sweet taste and a slightly warm nature. They strengthen the stomach, improve appetite, and are suitable for prostate and cervical cancer, as well as for prevention.
