Use of the formula according to Traditional Chinese Medicine:

  • strengthens Spleen Qi and simultaneously nourishes Heart Blood
  • calms the Shen spirit
  • stops bleeding due to Spleen deficiency

Description:

A mixture often referred to as the "student's formula": long-term sitting over books and computers weakens the Spleen. Constant studying, thinking and staring exhausts Heart Blood, which is also not being produced sufficiently because, as mentioned, the Spleen is becoming weaker and weaker. When Blood and Qi are truly low, thinking ceases to be effective and turns into mere brooding. Fatigue and sleep disorders appear. As Spleen Qi weakens further (and its ability to keep blood in the vessels), bruises and various types of bleeding occur. This does not only apply to students, of course, but to all people working mentally. But the scenario can also be different – excessive thinking, solving the "unsolvable" or "uncontrollable", returning to problems that we "do not have the strength to solve", leads to the weakening of the Spleen and Heart, which then leads to even more brooding.

By replenishing Qi and strengthening the Spleen, and also nourishing Blood and the Heart, Gui Pi Tang perfectly addresses all mental and physical symptoms. Moreover, it also addresses atrophy (wei syndromes) from Spleen and Stomach deficiency.
