Use of the formula according to Traditional Chinese Medicine:

  • restores the voice
  • relaxes and moves lung energy
  • moistens the lungs
  • transforms phlegm
  • clears heat in the lungs

Description:

When we speak or sing for a long time, we strain our vocal cords and deplete lung Qi. Where there is excessive strain, blockages can form. In such cases, we notice hoarseness in the vocal cords, feel scratching or pain in the throat, or experience weakening or even loss of voice.

The formula addresses exactly this situation: it restores the proper flow of Qi at the lung level, their dispersing and descending functions, and their ability to moisten the respiratory tract mucosa. The throat and vocal cords calm down, and we can speak without problems again.

Indications:

  • loss of voice from excessive vocal strain
  • weakened vocal cords
  • scratching and dryness in the throat
  • cough from lung Qi blockage

Modern use:

  • voice disorders after vocal trauma
  • dryness and scratching in the throat
  • dry cough

Contraindications:

  • none known

Note:

The mixture does not contain herbs to replenish Qi or Yin of the lungs, nor does it contain herbs to expel pathogens during external attacks (colds, viruses). For voice problems in these cases, use a different mixture that can handle these etiological factors. Hai Zi Qi Tang can be a suitable supplement to it..
