Use of the formula according to Traditional Chinese Medicine:

  • warms and replenishes kidney Yang and the Ming Men fire (ministerial fire of the kidneys)
  • replenishes Jing essence and blood

Description:

The original You Gui Wan formula comes from the Ming Dynasty and is used not only for warming and replenishing kidney yang but also for strengthening tissues – tendons and bones, e.g. in the lumbar region. This modification by the physician Zhang Jingyue from 1624 is focused primarily on supporting sexual functions, increasing libido and fertility, both in men and women.

What is kidney yang? The so-called ministerial fire, which belongs to the kidneys and warms all tissues and fluids in the body. Imagine what cold broth looks like: the fat is solidified, everything is thickened, it does not flow properly... When we warm it up – it completely changes its consistency and starts to smell wonderful. It is the same with all tissues, but the reproductive system has the closest relationship with the kidneys and their yang – libido and fertility are directly linked to it.

The formula contains so-called hormonally active herbs (morinda, epimedium and cnidium), which are further supported by so-called astringent seeds that help to properly concentrate the yang energy (dodder, raspberry).

The effect of the mixture from a biomedical perspective is not yet precisely described; it is assumed that it can increase testosterone levels and supports the production of certain cytokines (e.g. interferon-gamma), which are important for the immune functions of the organism. In a clinical study from 1998 on men with a low sperm count and poor motility, 83% of them experienced such an improvement that after 2-4 months of use, their wives became pregnant. [Chen Q. Renowned Patent Traditional Chinese Medicines: Pharmacology and Clinical Applications (1998)]

Notes:

Suitable for use for several weeks – usually the effect manifests within one month. It does not act "immediately" (like the blue pill), but it is safe, without adverse effects on the cardiovascular system.

During the use of the mixture, avoid cold and raw foods.

It can also be used long-term, in which case the following scheme is chosen: 1st month support of kidney yang, 2nd month support of kidney yin, 3rd month break – and we repeat again... Suitable especially after the age of 45, when it has a significant anti-ageing effect.

The mixture also contains herbs that replenish essence and blood, although in the case of a greater deficiency of yin substances, it is good to supplement the mixture with Zan Yu Tang, or possibly Cordyceps.
